We use it to inform team members about training rides and upcoming team events.
Do you need to join Teamsnap? No! But it does help us communicate to and organize such a large group, so that’s why we use it! It's also useful for our Ride Guides to see who might be attending a ride, or to communicate changes to an event. How do I signup? You can signup for TeamSnap at www.teamsnap.com, and find the One Aim team page at oneaim.teamsnap.com. Email oneaimteam@gmail.com and we can also send you an invite to the team. Can I use it on my phone? There is an Android and iPhone application available from the app store that you can use to easily set your availability, see who is attending an event, or see upcoming events and information.

RBC Insurance and The One Aim Cycling Club present CANSuffer to CONQUER 2013. http://www.cansuffer.com/
An EPIC event of sustained SUFFERING because we know we CAN CONQUER CANCER! DescriptionRBC Insurance and The One Aim Cycling Club present CANSuffer to CONQUER 2013. An EPIC event of sustained SUFFERING because we know we CAN CONQUER CANCER! On April 13th at Southcentre Mall, 5 cyclists from the One Aim Cycling Club will embark on an 11 hour journey. They will each attempt to join only a handful of cyclists in the world who have completed all 10 Sufferfest Road Cycle™ Training videos back-to-back in one session. Thousands of cyclists use these videos to train on their indoor bikes in the off-season…1 hour at a time. To, attempt them all, back-to-back is a monumental undertaking. Each rider will embrace almost 11 hours of piercing pain and sustained suffering to support the Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer, benefiting the Alberta Cancer Foundation to provide the best care and fund world class research towards a cancer-free future. We want YOU to join our journey; register for a session online (www.cansuffer.com) then come to Southcentre Mall on April 13 to support these riders and their cause by riding along with them for one (or more!) session(s) of the ride. Info on registration and donations are available on our website: www.cansuffer.com. Twenty-four riders joined the first One Aim Tuesday Ride of the 2012 season. That is a record by an enormous margin. I'm not sure if the weather, the ease of the new website or the sheer size of our team this year is responsible...but we'll certainly enjoy it! We were a little delayed getting away from the car park but all re-grouped at Hamilton Drive at the top of Twelve-Mile Coulee. There was the usual smattering of issues as new and recently retrieved bikes and bodies were asked to do things that they hadn’t done for a while! The Southerly wind did at least give some assistance up the main hills (Twelve Mile Coulee and Bearspaw Road.
We rode the Cloverleaf route and were back in the Tuscany Club car park by 8.20pm. Sunset next week will be at8.25pm and the following week at 8.36pm…so the time crunch on completing these rides will diminish...there was no need for any particular urgency this evening though. 8-10 of us made it to The Last Straw Pub for a couple of drinks and some food. What a great start to Ride Season! Same again next week?! |
