Twenty-four riders joined the first One Aim Tuesday Ride of the 2012 season. That is a record by an enormous margin. I'm not sure if the weather, the ease of the new website or the sheer size of our team this year is responsible...but we'll certainly enjoy it! We were a little delayed getting away from the car park but all re-grouped at Hamilton Drive at the top of Twelve-Mile Coulee. There was the usual smattering of issues as new and recently retrieved bikes and bodies were asked to do things that they hadn’t done for a while! The Southerly wind did at least give some assistance up the main hills (Twelve Mile Coulee and Bearspaw Road.
We rode the Cloverleaf route and were back in the Tuscany Club car park by 8.20pm. Sunset next week will be at8.25pm and the following week at 8.36pm…so the time crunch on completing these rides will diminish...there was no need for any particular urgency this evening though. 8-10 of us made it to The Last Straw Pub for a couple of drinks and some food. What a great start to Ride Season! Same again next week?!
